Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy is a form of talk therapy. It helps you look at your past, hidden feelings, and childhood memories to see how they shape your actions and moods today. By understanding these deep inner causes, you can change repeat habits and feel better.
Core Ideas
-
The Unconscious Mind: Parts of your mind hold memories and feelings you do not see or think about directly, but they still drive how you act.
-
Past and Present: Things that happened to you when you were young affect your adult choices and relationships.
-
Hidden Defenses: Your mind uses mental shields to block out painful or scary truths, which can lead to stress.
What You Do in Sessions
-
Talk Freely: You share whatever pops into your head without filtering it.
-
Explore Patterns: Your guide helps you spot repetitive cycles in your life and relationships.
-
Process Emotions: You face old, buried feelings so they stop hurting your current life. (Cleveland Clinic)

Cogntive Behavior Therapy
Cognitive Behavior Therapy, or CBT for short, looks at the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. As we look at these connections we discover thoughts that are unhelpful often leading to anxiety and depression. The goal is to collaborate with the therapist and determine goals and treatment plan to explore ways to reduce the unhelpful thoughts and increase mood and more positive thinking strategies.

Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy is an offshot of Psychoanalytic therapy. It helps you to look at early life experiences and how they may be impacting you today. It can also incorporate inner child work. It can also help to uncover how the inconscious mind insterts itself into our everyday choices
